My College Options

My College Options Drew’s application deadline for those students applying under our Regular Decision program is February 1, with notification by March 6 and a deposit due date by the National Candidate’s Reply Date of May 1. Students are automatically considered for Drew University academic merit scholarships. Students who have decided that Drew is their number one choice of university should apply through the Early Decision program. The SAT exam is another college entrance exam that is given seven times a year. It is widely accepted at universities throughout the United States and is required or preferred by some selective schools and some non-mid-western campuses. All nursing students must have completed at least three units of high school science and three units of high school mathematics . First-year students are encouraged to submit their applications for the fall semester by Dec. 1 and spring semester applicants by Nov. 1. Those offered admission as transfer students typically have a GPA of 3.5 or higher. GPAs in college are evaluated within the context of the degree of difficulty of coursework pursued and competitiveness of the college you have attended. Official transcripts of all academic work undertaken are a required part of the application; therefore, students may not reduce their academic credits in order to qualify as First Year applicants. This annual program provides an excellent opportunity to learn more about some of the distinctive majors offered and what makes RIT an exciting option for college bound students. Last year's Counselor Enrichment Program was held on Wednesday, May 29th, 2019. A student must be willing to stay at their workspace (I’ve gotten up four times while writing this.) and have the discipline to trust the process. The student must also liberate themselves from the conventional rules of grammar, syntax, and structure while they search for the place they can swim. The program provides direct services designed to promote persistence through degree completion. Furthermore, the program supports innovative educational initiatives, support services and leadership development activities to enhance the student’s chance for academic success. Nearly half of our students identify as first-generation, four-year college students. Drew is quite generous with financial aid and provides over $30 million to its students in financial aid each year. Both domestic and international students can qualify for merit-based scholarships, which are based on previous academic achievement. These scholarships do not require any additional application so students are automatically considered at the point of admission. As is consistent with our holistic review, students will be given full consideration with the information they have provided regardless of their decision to submit their test scores. Applicants must have earned at least a 3.2 GPA in their most recent college work in order to be considered for admission. Students electing not to submit SAT/ACT scores must present a strong high school transcript in a rigorous college-prep or honors curriculum and typically will have at least a B+ average. In order to be considered for on-campus housing, students are required to submit a Housing Agreement for the period requested and include a $50.00 (non-refundable) application fee. The housing application must include the University ID number issued by the Admissions Office in order for it to be processed. Please note that students must be admitted to the University before they can apply for housing.
